Emma Frost – 122 Points, 47 Appearances (22nd Overall)
Emma Frost is one of the most important mutants in Krakoa right now. Unfortunately, stepping down as White Queen to focus on the Quiet Council is probably going to hinder her 2022 performance.

Exodus (Bennet du Paris) – 34 Points, 17 Appearances (130th Overall)
A Quiet Council member’s strength comes in the form of how often they use their top Power compared to a Quiet Council related Business Power Usage. For example, Emma used Telepathy 23 times, as opposed to 19 Businesses. Exodus barely uses any power other Business, proving he might be the weakest Quiet Council draft.

Kate Pryde is one of the few Quiet Council members with two main books. That makes her pretty important when it comes to drafting mutants.

Isca the Unbroken and Bei The Blood Moon are the most prominent of Arakko’s citizens. One is a plot device while the other is married to Cypher. Hopefully Bei shines in 2022 as a Knight of X.

Captain Britain (Betsy Braddock) – 75 Points, 15 Appearances (45th Overall)
Betsy is a strong performer, with a versatile power set. She is the Top Performer of the KNIGHTS OF X. She leads Excalibur in a world that fears and hates them; Otherworld.

Gambit (Remy LeBeau) – 54 Points, 20 Appearances (76th Overall)
2022 seems to have Mr. and Mrs. LeBeau on different worlds for the majority of the year. Gambit is not the one you want to bet on in that marriage.

Prestige (Rachel Grey) – 73 Points, 24 Appearances (49th Overall)
Rachel Grey had a really good 2021, because she was a member of X-Factor and also had strong ties to the Excalibur book and her brother Cable’s book. Now X-Factor has gone away, Cable is in space, and Rachel has joined Excalibur.

Rictor (Julio Richter) – 53 Points, 19 Appearances (79th Overall)
Rictor had some of the most prominent storylines in Excalibur before it’s conclusion. I’d be willing to bet he’ll have more in 2022.

Doctor Nemesis is a favourite of Si Spurrier’s, so I expect plenty of him in Legion Of X.

Juggernaut is the team tank, never a bad call to have him on your team. These days, he appears outside of the X-Titles more frequently than in them.

Pixie (Megan Gwynn) – 62 Points, 21 Appearances (64th Overall)
Pixie is probably my surprise performer of 2021. She got more Appearances and Points than I expected and I hope that improves in 2022. Pixie is the Top Performer of LEGION OF X.

MARAUDERS
Bishop (Lucas Bishop) – 54 Points, 20 Appearances (76th Overall)
Bishop replaced Scott as the Captain Commander of Krakoa in 2021 and 2022 looks to make good on that promise. I expect Bishop to take a larger role in Marauders as Psylocke, another Captain of Krakoa, joins the team and Emma Frost/Sebastian Shaw take their leave.

Cassandra Nova – No Data Available
Cassandra Nova is returning to the X-Books in 2022. Who knows what that will hold, but likely not good things.

Daken has been getting a lot more attention than usual over on Krakoa and 2022 will see him joining the Marauders for a stint.

Psylocke (Kwannon) – 72 Points, 22 Appearances (51st Overall)
Kwannon has had a pretty good time in Krakoa so far, when it comes to Appearances and Power Usages. And now she’s getting her biggest gig yet, serving as both a Krakoan War Captain and a member of the Marauders.

Pyro’s probably the weakest of the OG members of the Marauders left. He disappears a lot and has a pretty limited power set.

Goblin Queen (Maddie Pryor) – 2 Points, 1 Appearances (376th Overall)
Maddie was only revived at the end of 2021, but in 2022 she will fight Magik for control of Limbo. It’s funny that Jonathan Hickman just wrote an Event called Inferno when we could be essentially getting Inferno 2.0 in the pages of New Mutants.

Karma (Xi’an Manh) – 42 Points, 15 Appearances (110th Overall)
Karma is a solid draft, because her powers can often be used passively, such as telepathic communication or sensing someone’s fear.

Magik (Illyana Rasputin) – 88 Points, 32 Appearances (35th Overall)
Magik is the Top Performer of the NEW MUTANTS. She is finally getting center focus in New Mutants, but unfortunately her other team books Savage Avengers and Strange Academy seem to be getting the axe for 2022.

Mirage (Dani Moonstar) – 78 Points, 21 Appearances (41st Overall)
Dani was nearly able to rival Magik in a year where she had two extra team books. Will 2022 be the year Moonstar beats Magik?

Scout (Gabby Kinney) – 31 Points, 11 Appearances (135th Overall)
Scout is a joy in the X-Line, and we spent a good portion of 2021 fearing she might go away. But she’s here to stay in 2022.

Warpath (James Proudstar) – 34 Points, 14 Appearances (130th Overall)
If you’re thinking of drafting a New Mutant, I suggest looking at the ladies first.

Wolfsbane (Rahne Sinclair) – 33 Points, 12 Appearances (132nd Overall)
Rahne had a rough 2021, sitting on the sidelines for most of it while mourning her son in an Age of Immortal Mutants. She became the Shadow King’s lackey through this depression, but 2022 should hold brighter things for Rahne.

X-FORCE
Beast (Hank McCoy) – 62 Points, 29 Appearances (64th Overall)
Beast is always lurking in the shadows, making awful choices and generally almost destroying Krakoa with his incompetence.

Top 3 Powers: Intellect (4), Agility (3), Melee (3), Tech (3)
Deadpool (Wade Wilson) – 157 Points, 22 Appearances (13th Overall)
Even without a title of his own, Wade Wilson outscored nearly every X-Men this side of Logan. He’ll bee around in 2022, you can bet on that.

Domino (Neena Thurman) – 77 Points, 26 Appearances (43rd Overall)
All the members of X-Force should be evaluated for a team slot. They are the offensive force of Krakoa and they show up to do a lot of damage.

Forge – 34 Points, 16 Appearances (130th Overall)
Forge gets around, both on Krakoa and outside it. Unfortunately, he’s the smart/support type, which means his powers are often limited. His Power Usages display this: he’s creating tech for someone else twice as much as he’s using his own as a weapon.

Kid Omega (Quentin Quire) – 73 Points, 20 Appearances (47th Overall)
Benjamin Percy seems to have a real fondness of Quentin, giving him plenty of storylines in 2021 and teasing even more for 2022.

Omega Red (Arkady Rossovich) – 30 Points, 5 Appearances (140th Overall)
Omega Red has been teased as the central antagonist of the weekly Wolverine crossover, X Deaths/Lives Of Wolverine. Could be a good year for him.

Sage– 53 Points, 21 Appearances (88th Overall)
Sage is the weakest performer on X-Force, and still manages to outscore nearly all but the best members of other teams.

Wolverine (James Howlett) – 343 Points, 80 Appearances (2nd Overall)
Wolverine is the most overexposed mutant around. No other mutant comes close. Get him on your team if you can.

Cyclops died in the public eye at the end of 2021, so now he operates as Captain Krakoa to hide the resurrection protocols of Krakoa. He’ll get you lots of Appearances, but who knows what he’ll do within the pages of those Apps.

Jean Grey – 160 Points, 49 Appearances (12th Overall)
Jean Grey is the Top Performer of the X-MEN. She sets the Bronze standard, the most prominent of the mutants exclusively within the Krakoan Titles, with next to no outside Appearances.

Rogue (Anna Marie LeBeau)– 61 Points, 26 Appearances (70th Overall)
Rogue has fallen in stature a lot the last few years. She’s still on the most prominent X-Team, but she’s not performing anywhere near her best, back when she was an Avenger.

Polaris (Lorna Dane) – 92 Points, 27 Appearances (33rd Overall)

Sunfire (Shiro Yoshida) – 48 Points, 17 Appearances (96th Overall)
Sunfire doesn’t get nearly enough time to shine in the X-Men, but he got a few moments of focus in 2021. Hopefully he’s due for something big in 2022.

Synch (Everett Thompson) – 73 Points, 21 Appearances (50th Overall)
Synch is the surprise performer of the team. He’s getting all the Absorb Power Usages that Rogue isn’t and from that comes a wealth of Powers.

Wolverine (Laura Kinney) – 64 Points, 23 Appearances (59th Overall)
Laura is a really good bet, she’s both on the X-Men and is part of the Wolverine family. Both are valuable gifts for a mutant.

X-MEN RED
Abigail Brand– 48 Points, 17 Appearances (96th Overall)
Abigail Brand is one of the central pillars of X-Men: Red, as it explores her ideology against that of Ororo Munroe’s. She operates a lot like Beast, but she lacks his incompetence.

Top 3 Powers: Business (4), Deception (3), Size (2), Vehicle (2)
Cable (Nathan Summers) – 61 Points, 13 Appearances (67th Overall)
Cable is the Top Performer of the X-MEN RED. The adult Cable was gone for half the year and still managed to outscore most X-Men. If we include his younger self’s performance (64 over 15), then Cable is one of the top performing mutants of 2021. I don’t think 2022 will be as big for Cable, but he should still put up solid numbers.

Sunspot (Roberto Da Costa) – 38 Points, 17 Appearances (122nd Overall)
Roberto Da Costa has lead the Avengers and now he’s up to something in space. I’m sure Bobby won’t bring chaos and calamity down upon Arakko.

Vulcan (Gabriel Summers) – 17 Points, 4 Appearances (210th Overall)
Gabriel is the least spoken about Summers brother, but in 2022 he’ll be the one fighting against Storm this time.

Wiz Kid (Takashi Matsuya) – 39 Points, 11 Appearances (119th Overall)
Takashi was surprise return for Al Ewing’s SWORD series and it looks like he’ll be sticking around with the traitorous Abigail Brand in X-Men: Red as well.

SECRET X-MEN

Boom Boom (Tabitha Smith)– 13 Points, 5 Appearances (249th Overall)

Cannonball (Sam Guthrie) – 37 Points, 21 Appearances (123rd Overall)
Sam gets around, but he does not do a whole lot. Flight and Speed are really the only two powers he uses, with a Durability thrown in here and there for good measure. He’s the Top Performer of the SECRET X-MEN.
