Help Support The Heroes We Love: This month, we’re highlighting various aspects of the Crossover Event “We Are Yesterday” happening in Batman/Superman: World’s Finest and Justice League Unlimited. And we continue this week by highlighting some of the breakout Heroes of the Event. Bruce and Clark are of course front and center, but two other Heroes are playing big roles in the duology of Titles. The first would be Carol Ferris, Star Sapphire. She’s recently gotten back together with Hal Jordan and serves in a lead support role over in Green Lantern by Jeremy Adams. And the other character is Harold Jordan, the new Hero Air-Wave, who is arguably the catalyst for the Event. He’s been taking up significant page space in Justice League Unlimited by Mark Waid. It’s nice to see the big heroes share the panel space with smaller heroes looking to make a name for themselves, or to return to a status they haven’t had in some time. And you can read the opening salvos of the “We Are Yesterday” Event at DC Universe Infinite, when you subscribe to the Ultra Annual Level (which runs the price of $170 CAD).
Weekly Omissions – Absolute Batman #8, DC Vs. Vampires – World War V #9
Hero Of The Week – It’s a pretty normal week for the old DC Fantasy Comic League. Batman took home Hero Of The Week, bringing in 19 Points over 2 Appearances. Superman and Aquaman tied for Performance Of The Week, with 14 Point Performances.
Antagonist Of The Week – One of the greatest Scarface stories ever told came to a close in Batman: Dark Patterns #6, and it netted The Ventriloquist Antagonist Of The Week; well, Arnold Wesker anyways. Arnold brought in 6 Points over a single Appearance.
Book Of The Week – Sometimes, no book breaks 25 Points in a week. Those tend to be my favorite weeks. This week, Aquaman #5 brought in 21 Points over 4 Characters to score Book Of The Week.
Power Of The Week – Sometimes we here at the FCL enjoy a less violent solution to the problems our Heroes face day in and day out. So Power Of The Week is going to Supergirl’s use of Ensnare. By utilizing her cape to ensnare an enemy, she was able to peacefully disrupt the chaos and prevent anyone from getting a beat-down.
