Help Support The Heroes We Love: This month, we’re highlighting various aspects of the Crossover Event “We Are Yesterday” happening in Batman/Superman: World’s Finest and Justice League Unlimited. And we continue this week by highlighting some of the breakout Villains of the Event. Lex Luthor is finally returning to his old villainous ways in Joshua Williamson’s Superman Series. Sinestro is wearing his Green Lantern duds against over in Green Lantern Corps by Jeremy Adams. And of course Gorilla Grodd is rising to the top of the Antagonist pile thanks to his starring role in this Event. Weekly Omissions – Absolute Green Lantern #2, Absolute Superman #7
Hero Of The Week – Well we have an interesting week with our Heroes output. The usual suspects stayed far away, allowing Black Canary to put up 4 Appearances and bring in 16 Points to score Hero Of The Week. The honour of Performance Of The Week went to Mitch Shelley, the Resurrection Man, who has one helluva power set. His diverse scoring capabilities scored him 14 Points in a single Appearance.
Antagonist Of The Week – Lady Shiva technically died a couple weeks back, but you’d never tell by this week’s performance. Between an origin story taking over her daughter’s Series, and a starring role against Black Canary in The Best There Is, Lady Shiva took home Antagonist Of The Week, with 15 Points over 2 Appearances.
Book Of The Week – Our Book Of The Week this week irks me. It’s JSA #7, a funeral issue for Ted Grant. But it brought in 52 Points over 46 Characters, meaning that these characters did absolutely nothing, making this issue a glorified cameo roster.
Power Of The Week – So this week’s Power Of The Week comes from Mitch Shelley, the Resurrection Man. He’s such a fascinating character, gaining a new power set directly related to how he died in each previous life. This week’s Power, Temporal, is granted because after a life of traumatizing deaths, Mitch finally died peacefully of old age. Because time is what killed him, time is what he now controls. So cool, Ram V never misses.
