Help Support The Heroes We Love: This month, we’re highlighting Books To Appreciate Before They’re Gone, aka the Titles we know are about to be canceled. This week, it’s Josie Campbell’s Shazam series. She inherited the book after Mark Waid and Dan Mora stepped down to tackle Justice League Unlimited. Under Josie’s pen, we’ve seen Billy and Freddy compete for the starring role of the Shazam family, while Mary does actual hero work against one of the antagonists from her recent The New Champion Of Shazam miniseries from 2023. It’s been an enjoyable title that will be concluding with Shazam #21 in May 2025. Weekly Omissions – Absolute Superman #4
Hero Of The Week – It’s another week of Batman domination. However, Bruce really came to conquer this week. With only two Appearances, Batman brought in 34 Points, which included a killer Performance Of The Week scoring 21 Point Appearance. So hats off to Bruce Wayne for his well-deserved Hero Of The Week.
Antagonist Of The Week – It’s a full week of Bat-Family domination, with our Antagonist Of The Week going to Harvey Dent, aka Two-Face, who was the only Antagonist to put up double digits with a 10 Point Appearance in his self-titled Series. We’ll be highlighting Harvey again in just a second…
Book Of The Week – Bat-Domination continues, this time with Chip Zdarsky’s final issue of Batman scoring Book Of The Week. Batman #157 brought in 46 Points over 6 Characters. Honestly, this final arc was the best part of the entire run and it’s shame we didn’t get this quality for the majority of the series, instead settling for low quality things like Gotham War.
Power Of The Week – And in our last stop on the Bat-Domination, we’re highlighting Two-Face’s use of Deception in his On-Going Series. I don’t want to get too into spoilers here, but if you read the issue, you know why this got Power Of The Week.
