So DC is actually in pretty remarkable shape right now, so we’re going to jump out of the main universe this week. Our focus lies with Jenny Sparks by Tom King and Jeff Spokes. King is using the title to reflect on both the 21st Century and the Covid 19 pandemic. If you like King, you’ll enjoy this. Beyond that, I don’t know what your mileage might be. Weekly Omissions – Absolute Batman #5, DC Vs. Vampires – World War V – Darkness And Light #1
Hero Of The Week – Guess what guys. It’s another Bat-Win for the Bat-Man. Bruce Wayne took home Hero Of The Week, with 23 Points over 3 Appearances. Thankfully, it wasn’t a completely sweep. Performance Of The Week went to the central Green Lantern of the new Green Lantern Corps series, John Stewart, who brought in 14 Points in a single Appearance. And we’re just getting started on this lean GREEN week.
Antagonist Of The Week – We have a tie this week, and both occur in the same title. Sinestro and Blackfire were two heroically portrayed villains in the relaunch of the Green Lantern Corps, and they both took home Antagonist Of The Week, bringing in 6 Points each.
Book Of The Week – And our Green Week concludes with the relaunch of the Green Lantern Corps series taking home Book Of The Week. Green Lantern Corps #1 brought in 57 Points over 13 Characters. Not too shabby, those are the kind of numbers I like to see.
Power Of The Week – Listen, I grew up on Avatar: The Last Airbender. I think it might be the greatest show of all time. So anytime someone decides to do some Blood-Bending, I’m here for it. So this week we’re highlighting Aquaman’s usage of the Water power to bend his own blood.
