This month, we’re highlighting a particular creator in the DCU and that is Matthew Rosenberg. Both his work with The Joker and the WildC.A.T.S. team will be coming to a close this month. Since inception, WildC.A.T.S has been one of my favorite books in the DC sphere and Rosenberg has done good work with Jason Todd whilst telling the Joker’s story in The Joker: The Man Who Stopped Laughing. And you can read these magnficent runs over at at DC Universe Infinite, when you subscribe to the Ultra Annual Level (which runs the price of $135 CAD).
Weekly Omissions- Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom Special #1
Hero Of The Week- This was a week of massive performances. More than dozen characters put up double digits Point Appearances. And it was an incredibly tight race for top as characters like John Stewart (17 over 2) and Clark Kent (18 over 2) fought valiantly. But Xanthe Zhou was able to take Performance Of The Week with an 18 Point Appearance. And Cassandra Cain took Hero Of The Week, bringing in 19 Points over 2 Appearances. We love to see it.
Antagonist Of The Week – It’s very rare when the Super-Villains perform as well as the Heroes, but this was a great week for them. None shone as brightly as our Antagonist Of The Week, which was Cyborg Superman, who brought in17 Points in a single Appearance.
Book Of The Week- Once again, this was a week of massive performances. Multiple Series starring only 5 characters put up 40+ points. The average performances per character for these issues was 10 Points an Appearance. There was one comic though that was untouchable this week and shocking no-one, it is both a Bat-Family comic and an Event issue that took Book Of The Week. The Conclusion of The Gotham War, Batman/Catwoman: The Gotham War- Scorched Earth #1 brought in 142 Points over 23 Characters.
