This month, we’re highlighting a particular creator in the DCU and that is Matthew Rosenberg. Both his work with The Joker and the WildC.A.T.S. team will be coming to a close this month. Since inception, WildC.A.T.S has been one of my favorite books in the DC sphere and Rosenberg has done good work with Jason Todd whilst telling the Joker’s story in The Joker: The Man Who Stopped Laughing. Weekly Omissions- Icon Vs Hardware #5, Superman ’78 – The Metal Curtain #1
Hero Of The Week- It’s always a good week when Bruce Wayne loses. And while he did bring in 14 Points this week, it took him 3 Appearances to do so. Mary Bromfield got 14 Points in a single Appearance. This gave her both Performance Of The Week and Hero Of The Week. Simply Marvelous.
Antagonist Of The Week – The Joker was the real star of this week though. While the Heroes put up a good fight, the single most points for Week 45 of Year 2023 came from The Joker, who brought in 19 Points over 2 Appearances.
Book Of The Week- This week’s top performers made a vow to do no harm to their targets, but thankfully a violent showdown between Oliver Queen and Diana Prince propelled Birds Of Prey #2 into Book Of The Week status, bringing in 67 Points over 12 Characters. 21 of those points came from Ollie and Diana alone.
