The Doctors are in! Strange and Doom top their respective weekly performance charts, but Dr. Essex strikes out at the conclusion of his “Sins of Sinister” event. Mr. Sinister fails to achieve his goal of Dominionhood before his chaotic timeline gets reset and his Moira Engine destroyed. He also loses his leverage over the corrupted Quiet Council members—Professor X, Emma Frost, Hope and Exodus—when they exile themselves to the Pit. New additions to the Fantasy Comic League database include Valentine Vuong, Deadpool’s new love interest, and Blastaar, who appears for the first time since 2019. Thor becomes the fourth character to break 100 points.
Book the Week – Daredevil #10 (Review score: 47 Points; 9 Characters). The Avengers crash the Fist’s secret headquarters and take down key members Agony, Stegron and Elektra. Spider-Man leads the charge in trying to talk some sense into Daredevil but Matt Murdock ensnares Spidey in his own webs and gets away.
Hero of the Week – Doctor Strange (Review score: 20 Points/2 Appearances; 10.0 Pts/App). Things get tense in the second issue of Doctor Strange’s new title when he learns of Aggamon’s murder, a threat made by his wife seemingly fulfilled. The majority of Strange’s points come from his Team-Up with Doc Sasquatch in the finale of Hulk in order to help Bruce Banner defeat Titan, Banner’s latest destructive personality brought about by the Fear Lord D’Spayre’s manipulations.
Antagonist of the Week – Doctor Doom (Review score: 8 Points/3 Appearances; 2.67 Pts/App). Marvel’s premier bad guy earns his first Antagonist of the Week on the year. While his variant ran wild with the Multiversal Masters of Evil in Avengers to begin the year, Prime Doom has been biding his time. A main Appearance in Thor and two brief cameos elsewhere lift him into fourth place in the Antagonist bracket as he begins his climb back to the top.
