Bishop is no stranger to traveling across time or dimensions, but he finds himself in a peculiar situation in the first issue of Bishop: War College. When Tempo’s temporal abilities get knocked out of whack during a training session, Bishop finds himself stranded in a new world where the X-Men are all versions of himself. The other new series which kicks off spins out of the “Dark Web” event and follows Normie Osborn struggling with his desire to bond with Rascal, his Red Goblin symbiote, and follow in his grandfather’s goblin-prints.
Book the Week – Black Panther #14 (Review score: 46 Points; 8 Characters). T’Challa’s paranoid scheming while king has resulted in him losing favor with the Wakandan government and its people. It’s so bad that the Wakandan Prime Minister has enlisted Namor, her country’s longtime adversary, to help bring the Black Panther to heel. The Avengers also join the bitter alliance to battle Jhai, T’Challa’s rogue sleeper agent threatening the world’s security.
Hero of the Week – Spider-Man/Peter Parker (Review score: 18 Points/5 Appearances; 3.6 Pts/App). Peter Parker makes an appearance in more than a third of the titles this week to take home his second Hero of the Week. His biggest issue is his self-titled book where his attempt at a romantic trip with Felicia Hardy is derailed by an appearance by his ex-girlfriend, an uncomfortable underwear unveiling and White Rabbit’s wannabe wrongdoers.
Antagonist of the Week – Green Goblin (Review score: 12 Points/3 Appearances; 4.0 Pts/App). Norman Osborn overtakes Madelyn Prior in the Battle of the Goblins and with his Gold Goblin book and ongoing supporting role in Amazing Spider-Man he’ll be hard pressed to relinquish the lead again. Norman overtakes Maddie by one point for total score and ties her for most Antagonist of the Week titles with two.
