Doctor Strange returns in the finale of Strange and reunites with his wife to stop the Blasphemy Cartel. Wasp kicks off her 60 year anniversary with the start of her generation spanning mini series. “Dark Web” approaches its climax with a touching development in the final issue of Dark Web: X-Men.
Book the Week – Immortal X-Men #10 (Review score: 93 Points; 34 Characters). Mr. Sinister’s deception has all of Krakoa hunting for him, but his real victory is not the assassination of key Quiet Council members. After his capture and exile into the Pit, his true plan is revealed as Professor Xavier reveals his identity as one of Mr. Sinister’s genetic chimera. But when was the real Professor replaced, and who else on the Council has been corrupted?
Hero of the Week – Marvel Girl (Review score: 18 Points/2 Appearances; 9.0 Pts/App). Jean Grey has had enough of her clone’s bitter behaviors. She meets rage with rage, but in the end offers empathy to connect with the Goblin Queen. Jean shares the memories of raising her son with Maddie Pryor to sooth her anger and make amends.
Antagonist of the Week – Goblin Queen (Review score: 12 Points/1 Appearance; 12.0 Pts/App). The Goblin Queen achieves a personal victory against the X-Men when she receives Jean’s memories of her child. She calls off her demonic army but the Dark Web’s war is not over as Ben Reilly takes control of the invading force.
