The antagonists sit out the start of November. Only eight antagonists make an appearance in the first week, and half of those come from the latest X-Men: Red issue. In 13 issues, only one notable moment occurred as well. Tony Stark, the Ant-Man starring in Avengers: Forever, forms a Tony Stark support group for his multiversal counterparts who also struggle with their various depressions and addictions.
Book the Week – Savage Avengers #7 (Review score: 56 Points; 7 Characters). The Savage Avengers continue their brutal adventure into the year 2099. The action remains heavy as the seven characters average nearly five powers each, with all scoring a Defeats Antagonist.
Hero of the Week – Captain Marvel (Review score: 14 Points/3 Appearances; 4.67 Pts/App). Marvel’s top female Hero, and sixth overall, finally scores her first Hero of the Week title of 2022. Her main book sees her lead her usual compatriots and a crew of X-Men into space in response to a distress signal from Rogue. Her other two Appearances—Black Panther and Secret Invasion—have her working with her Avengers teammates.
Antagonist of the Week – Paibok (Review score: 2 Points/1 Appearance; 2.0 Pts/App). The only Antagonist to have more than one point for the week. He scores a Business point for representing the Kree/Skrull Alliance for a Galactic Council meeting. A meeting which gets interrupted by a recently-resurrected, and regularly resentful, Vulcan who returns to reclaim the Shi’ar throne.
