Shathra adds several more spider-characters to her Hive and thus several new characters get added to the Fantasy Comic League database. The new additions include Spider-Man Mini, from the Mini-Marvels universe; Sakura Spider, from the Deadpool: Samurai series; and Spider-UK, who has prominently featured in the latest Spider-Verse event since her introduction at the end of summer. The start of Sabretooth & the Exiles brings back the Krakoan outcasts and their status as main characters in the book earn Melter, Slug, and Third Eye a place in the database as well.
Book the Week – Damage Control #4 (Review score: 53 Points; 24 Characters). The flippant look behind the scenes of Marvel’s main bureaucrats takes the top book honors with a trip to the Raft. Seventeen antagonists appear for a less-than serious look at what it takes to be a villain.
Hero of the Week – Spider-Man/Peter Parker (Review score: 16 Points/4 Appearances; 4.0 Pts/App). Spider-Man takes the lead in Hero of the Week titles once more, but can’t make up enough ground on the overall standings. Wolverine scores 15 points this week, maintaining his league and breaking 400 points on the year.
Antagonist of the Week – Sabretooth (Review score: 9 Points/1 Appearance; 9.0 Pts/App). After fleeing Krakoa’s Pit, Sabretooth goes from the frying pan into the fire when he gets captured by Orchis. Fortunately for him, his former Pit-mates are hunting him down and inadvertently aid in his breakout. Unfortunately, they want to vivisect him as well.
