Book the Week – X-Men: The Trial of Magneto #3 (Review score: 70 Points; 21 Characters). Before the Avengers, X-Factor and X-Men could solve the mystery of Scarlet Witch’s return and her memory loss, Krakoa gets attacked by a trio of kaiju. The teams join up to protect the island and its mutant inhabitants and leave Wanda in the care of Wiccan and Speed, the children she does not remember. Elsewhere, in a world created by chaos magic, another version of Wanda comes face-to-face with her elder self.
Hero of the Week – Captain America (Review score: 14 Points/3 Appearances; 4.67 Pts/App). Captain America’s journey around the country to meet the members of the Captains Network and save his legacy comes to an end in the final issue of United States of Captain America #5. His other two appearances are leading the Avengers in their investigations of the murder of two allies, Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch.
Antagonist of the Week – Superior (Review score: 5 Points/1 Appearance; 5.0 Pts/App). Superior’s latest plan to blemish the symbolism of Captain America fails to take hold again. She comes up against the combined might of the Captains Network and learns that the symbol is more powerful than hate, even with the help of the Hate-Monger.
