The villains come out of the woodwork to drive Squirrel Girl nuts. Now that the world knows Doreen Green is the Unbeatable Squirrel Girl, some of her top adversaries team up to take her down. A JV team led by Swarm and Boomerang are first to confront her, but she manages to talk her way out of that confrontation as she is known to do. The bigger challenge comes from Melissa Morbeck’s gathered evil-doers consisting of Doctor Doom, the Leader and Fin Fang Foom, among others. Ten eligible villains make up the majority of Unbeatable Squirrel Girl‘s 42-point Top Book of the Week. The next Top Solo Book of the Week with 24 points, Miles Morales: Spider-Man, celebrates several milestones. In addition to Miles’ masterfully-obscured-age birthday party, the 250th issue spectacular brings the Ultimate version of Green Goblin into the Prime Marvel Universe and gives the 616-Miles Morales a new villainous role as Ultimatum.
Absolute Carnage vs. Deadpool features a trio of C-list villains joining Carnage’s Church of the New Darkness. Will O’ The Wisp, Conundrum and Freak fail to receive Fantasy Comic League points due to missing the minimum appearance threshold, but Carnage deems them worthy of his symbiotic gifts. Even without their points, the tie-in book wins the Event Book of the Week with a review score of 22. Namor brings two of his recent aquatic henchmen, Orka and Tiger Shark, into the latest Invaders, the Top Team Book of the Week. Captain America and his wartime allies continue searching for ways to reverse Namor’s biological attack on America in the 27-point book.
