The Unstoppable Wasp throws a block party for Nadia’s birthday, meanwhile Captain Marvel knocks the block off her most recent antagonist. In the midst of Marvel’s event heavy releases, the solo titles stand out as the top books for the week. Carol Danvers and her Rebellion defeat the Nuclear Man and free Roosevelt Island from his tyrannical time-dilating trap. Nine characters score a total of 57 points to snag the top book honors and best Unstoppable Wasp‘s 55 points. Twenty-two characters gather to celebrate Nadia’s birthday and share how they relate to the heroine, sometimes in humorous fashion. Before the issue ends, the young heroes’ dance party turns into a fight with White Rabbit’s Menagerie. Captain America’s solo title also puts up an impressive review score of 22 points and he calls in the Avengers to support the Invaders in their top team book of the week with a score of 31.
Despite the event books having a modest week, War of the Realms tries to make up for it with two books scoring 30 points or more. Balder, Kate Bishop and Miles Morales’ Journey Into Mystery brings them into a brief conflict with a campground of skrulls who have been hiding out since the Secret Invasion. Jimmy Woo recruits Brawn, Shang Chi and Silk for his new iteration of the Agents of Atlas. Still reeling from Brawn’s recent actions in the Champions comic, she leaves him behind to work on his teamwork and leadership skills with the Agents.
