Ain’t no party like an X-Men party, cause an X-Men party lasts all month long! Five of the core mutants celebrate with four appearances each. Jean Grey continues to lead her teammates in Uncanny X-Men, the end of her X-Men: Red book, Typhoid Fever’s conclusion, and they help warm Mr. and Mrs. X‘s house. Jean’s second “Hero of the Week” title comes with a personal-best 19 points. She climbs to 19th place in the overall top 20 for the year. Not bad for a character who started the year off dead. Storm, one of Jean’s closest friends and allies, is the second mutant with four appearances, though she only manages a score of 14. X-23 swaps the Typhoid Fever appearance in favor of her own title, in which she scores three of her 13 total points.
If not a mutant, then being an insect or spider-based character carries a lot of weight in the current power rankings. Peter Parker ties Nightcrawler (another four appearance X-Man) for fourth place and 11 points. Nadia van Dyne, the unstoppable Wasp, takes sole possession of sixth place with 10 points. Miles Morales, the younger Spider-Man, shares seventh place with a pair of X-Men, Gambit and Iceman. Captain Marvel and Namor round out the top performances for the week after both appear in X-Men: Red to help Jean take down Cassandra Nova.
Hero and power usages are a combination of all Fantasy Comic League divisions: Asgard, Asteroid M, Do You Even Comic Book, Genosha, Latveria, Midtown, Multiverse, Negative Zone, Red Room and Wakanda. League participants should cross-reference the official points with their hero roster and drafted powers for their heroes’ scores.
