Nearly two-thirds of the drafted Fantasy Comic League heroes assemble in the second week of November. After five modest weeks in October, Captain America and Spider-Man lead the characters in acquiring 198 points throughout 14 titles. The explosive week of books is especially satisfying for Peter Parker. Marvel’s flagship character ends a 14-week cold streak of not topping the power rankings, but splits the “Hero of the Week” title with Captain America. Steve Rogers scores his 14 points in two issues compared to four appearances for Spider-Man, which includes his three main titles Amazing Spider-Man, Spectacular Spider-Man and Spider-Man/Deadpool. Black Panther and Iceman follow behind with a tie-of their own at 11 points a piece. The two heroes also represent the top books of the week. Avengers clocks in with 47 points for eight characters while the return of Uncanny X-Men features 48 points for 10 of the drafted mutants.
Storm supplements her role in Uncanny X-Men with a guest role in Fantastic Four, the third biggest title of the week. The weather goddess ties the God of Thunder and the Unstoppable Wasp for fifth place and nine points. Two more Avengers, Iron Man and She-Hulk, follow in eighth place and eight points. After her big week to kick off November, Jean Grey appears in the top performances again with seven points. She rounds out the bottom of the power rankings with fellow X-Man Bishop, the Avenger Captain Marvel and the mercenary Domino. Psylocke scores her first points in the Fantasy Comic League after more than a two-year absence.
Hero and power usages are a combination of all Fantasy Comic League divisions: Asgard, Asteroid M, Do You Even Comic Book, Genosha, Latveria, Midtown, Multiverse, Negative Zone, Red Room and Wakanda. League participants should cross-reference the official points with their hero roster and drafted powers for their heroes’ scores.
