Dead Man walking… into a new month of the Fantasy Comic League and a new series. Logan ends October by limping across the finish line in a slow month. His eight-point “Hero of the Week” performance ties him with Ms. Marvel for the lowest scoring total to claim the title in 2018. The majority of his points come from the conclusion of his Old Man Logan series with issues 50; all it costs him is the chance to return to his own timeline. Daredevil’s quest to bring down his own archenemy hits a roadblock as the Kingpin’s new assassin for hire, the Vigil, confront’s Matt Murdock’s investigative team. Daredevil takes second with six points. Extermination, the book of the week with 18 total points, boosts two of the three heroes who tie for third place. Iceman and Jean Grey head into the month of November (and three Uncanny X-Men books) with five points and tie Multiple Man as his mini series comes to an end.
The bottom half of the power rankings is a six-way tie between mutants, Avengers and one lone Spider character. Domino and Storm both appear in Extermination, but split their second appearance between Multiple Man and X-Men: Black, respectively. Gambit also joins Storm Black, the final book in the mini series focusing on popular X-Villains, this time Emma Frost. Kate Bishop leads Ms. America, as well as her other West Coast Avengers, in fighting B.R.O.D.O.K. as the best friends each score four points. Kaine Parker represents the Superior Spider-Man’s lethal side of Spider-Geddon in Spider-Force and the Scarlet Spider’s deceitful ways land him in the top performances for the final week.
Hero and power usages are a combination of all Fantasy Comic League divisions: Asgard, Asteroid M, Do You Even Comic Book, Genosha, Latveria, Midtown, Multiverse, Negative Zone, Red Room and Wakanda. League participants should cross-reference the official points with their hero roster and drafted powers for their heroes’ scores.
