In a world that hates and fears them, the #DangerRoom division of the #FantasyComicLeague ends its 2nd, and final, season. Do to league restructuring Danger Room players will be joining other divisions and a handful of these mutants will be back next season as the new friendly neighborhood members of the #Midtown division starting in September. Returning division champion Bachman @anthonybachman hopes to fend off and retain his title but these mutants are coming for the throne! Trevitt @TrevittTrev, Daily @DailyXmenFacts, and Swampy @swampy19 and new recruit Kyle @blerdwords . All powerful mutants in their own right, but together an almost unstoppable force for mutantkind.
In the 4th month of the final season, for their last outing, the Danger Room heroes teamed up 62 times to save 14 civilians and defeat 15 adversaries in 103 appearances with 131 power usages.
August started off slow with 17 pts being the highest score the first week. swampy19 started off in the lead and did his best to leave us in the dust. TrevittTrev did his best to catch him but bounced around from 2nd to 4th and back to 2nd again falling just short and ending the season in 2nd place with 84 pts. DailyXMenFacts started in 3rd and swapped around places like Trev trying to catch the elusive Swampy but ended the season in 4th place with 70 pts. anthonybachman started the month in 4th and spent most of the month there. But with a huge last week showing Storm snagged hero of the month for herself and raise Bachman up to 3rd place with 74 pts. blerdwordshoped that the power of Spider-Man could help him end his season in style but alas it was not to be. The Parker luck struck leaving him in 5th place with 44 pts at the end of the season.
Winning the month is great. But winning the season is so much better. And better than that is winning the last month to nail down your win of the season. And that’s what swampy19 did to end the 2nd season for the Danger Room. He came out guns blazing with his team of Deadpool, Old Man Logan, Captain America, and Domino. With luck on their side and a first-week lead they turned on the jets and proved unkillable as they never looked back! With all characters in double digits, he put up a huge 91 pt score for the month nabbing him 3 more season points to put him 1 point above Trevitt and Bachman for the win. The final win. The big one. Congrats season champion SWAMPY!!!
Remember, as you learn, so does the Danger Room and just because they’re holograms doesn’t mean they can’t hurt you. This is the Danger Room signing off, for now. Mutant and Proud.
