The Hunt for Wolverine has come to an end with minimal results, but two of the main characters of the event help several agents in their Hunt for First Place. Daredevil shares his findings with Kitty Pryde and the two characters share the “Hero of the Week” title in the final week of the season. The ninjas score 11 points each across two appearances, one of which being Hunt for Wolverine: Dead Ends, the second-highest scoring book of the week. Kitty also appears in Extermination, the top book with 32 points and 10 drafted mutants. One of the stars of Extermination, the young, time displaced Angel, stands out as the surprise character of the week. He loses his cosmic wings, but not before he teams up with his ex-girlfriend, Laura Kinney in her own title. His nine points mark his best performance in the league in only his third week of appearing and ties him with Deadpool for third place.
Extermination accounts for five of the remaining seven top characters in the power rankings. Half of Storm’s eight points come from the book, while X-23 only gets two of her six from the title. They share the fifth place spot on the charts. Cyclops and Nightcrawler are the next pair of mutants to make the list coming in seventh place with seven points. Besides both appearing in Extermination, Nightcrawler also teleports into Hunt for Wolverine and Cyclops appears as a future version of himself in X-Men: Blue.
Marvel Girl appears alongside Cyclops in both of his books, but she notches one less point than him. She scores six points and splits the ninth place spot with Misty Knight and Ms. Marvel. Young Beast just misses out on joining his teammates in the top performers with five points, but he that’s at least better than young Iceman who misses out on both Extermination due to his capture and X-Men: Blue due to a seemingly tragic absence. Time will tell if the two situations are connected.
Hero and power usages are a combination of all Fantasy Comic League divisions: Asgard, Danger Room, Do You Even Comic Book, Latveria, Midtown, Multiverse, Negative Zone and Wakanda.
