A storm is brewing in Madripoor and Wakanda; unsurprisingly, Ororo Munroe is at the center of the action. The mutant mistress of weather manipulation is also at the top of the Fantasy Comic League rankings for the second time this year. Eight of her 11-point “Hero of the Week” performance comes from the X-Men’s team-up with the Dora Milaje in Wakanda Forever. The books Wakanda and Hunt for Wolverine: Mystery in Madripoor each total 18 points for drafted heroes, with Madripoor featuring four of the top five characters. Rogue remains catatonic in Madripoor, but she more than makes up for that in her honeymoon book Mr. and Mrs. X. The new Mrs. Lebeau earns 10 points for second place. Deadpool and Kitty Pryde both interrupt Gambit and Rogue’s romantic getaway in space and they also tie for third place with nine points.
Magneto breaks free from his captivity in Madripoor and seeks destructive revenge on his captors and on Emma Frost in X-Men: Blue. He sits in fifth place with seven points. The armored feud between Iron Man and Punisher comes to semi-predictable head with Frank Castle out of the suit and behind bars (temporarily). The characters score six points apiece and tie for with place along with Nightcrawler and Multiple Man. The Fantasy power rankings are not complete without an appearance by Peter Parker, the Spectacular Spider-Man. He and Domino each score five points and split the tenth spot in the standings.
Hero and power usages are a combination of all Fantasy Comic League divisions: Asgard, Danger Room, Do You Even Comic Book, Latveria, Midtown, Multiverse, Negative Zone and Wakanda. League participants should cross-reference the official points with their hero roster and drafted powers for their heroes’ scores.
