Help Support The Heroes We Love: This month, we’re highlighting series that have come to a conclusion in the back half of 2024. This week we’re highlighting Green Lantern: War Journal by Phillip K Johnson and Montos. A 12 issue Maxi-Series focusing on arguably the greatest Green Lantern, this series follows John Stewart as he’s called back to duty by a multiversal threat. This run also picks up on some of the hanging threads of Johnson’s Action Comics run, and has some truly heart breaking/warming scenes between John Stewart and his mother. And you can read the first 11 issues of this series at DC Universe Infinite, when you subscribe to the Ultra Annual Level (which runs the price of $170 CAD).

Hero Of The Week – We have an interesting week this time around. Beast Boy and Raven both tied for Hero Of The Week, bringing in 13 Points over 3 Appearances. Both ties and Titans being Heroes Of The Weeks are unusual, as is the fact that neither got top Performance this week either. Kudos to Garfield and Rachel though.
Antagonist Of The Week – Continuing this unusual week, we have a Villan taking both Performance Of The Week and Antagonist Of The Week. That hero is none other than Bat-Mite, from the Fifth Dimension, who had a singular 12 Point Appearance.
Power Of The Week – Staring a new category this week with a focus on exemplary Power Usages in the comics. Our inaugural award goes to Robin’s use of Intellect in Batman/Superman: World’s Finest #29 to banish Mr. Mxyzptlk back to the Fifth Dimension.
Book Of The Week – Batman/Superman: World’s Finest #29 is our Book Of The Week and also the concluding issue to what I’m sure will be the best story arc of 2024. It brought in 73 Points over 14 Characters. I have loved every second of this Fifth Dimensional arc, and remain impressed by Mark Waid’s writing ability and depth of character knowledge. One of the best to have ever done it, and he’s got the god Dan Mora in the mix as well.
