Help Support The Heroes We Love: This month, we’re highlighting Books To Appreciate Before They’re Gone, aka the Titles we know are about to be canceled. This week’s we’re focusing on Christopher Cantwell’s Challengers Of The Unknown Miniseries. Each issue focuses on the non-meta heroes of the Unknown, with 6 issues split evenly across the core cast. Each issue sees them paired up with the Justice League as they investigate the mysteries of the Omega Force without Darkseid. Each issue excels at strong characterization and an intriguing mystery, and you can read the opening half at DC Universe Infinite, upon subscribing to the Ultra Annual Level (which runs the price of $170 CAD).

Hero Of The Week – It’s always a great week when I get to honour my daughter’s namesake. Dick Grayson soared above the other competitors, scoring both Hero Of The Week (24 Points over 4 Appearances) and tying for Performance Of The Week with a 12 Point Appearance.
Antagonist Of The Week – Jason Woodrue may be dead, but he’s putting up stellar numbers thanks to a villainous turn in the distant past set World’s Finest series. Jason scored boy Antagonist Of The Week and tied for Performance Of The Week with his 12 Point Appearance.
Book Of The Week – Unsurprisingly, the book starring our two top scorers managed to snag Book Of The Week. Batman/Superman: World’s Finest #36 took gold, bringing 54 Points over 9 Characters.
Power Of The Week – Let’s give Dick one last win, with Power Of The Week, which can be found in Nightwing #123 when Dick uses his suit as a LIGHT source. I’m highlighting this power to show how his Suit triggers a Light usage, rather than scoring a Suit power. We score the ends, not the means here at the Fantasy Comic League.
