The delays plaguing Marvel continue into the month of May, so all appearance estimates should be taken with a bigger grain of salt than normal. Several issues which were scheduled to begin, or double ship in May, are now slatted to drop in the new month. This includes the Black Panther Legends finale featuring the Fantastic Four, the Giant-Size X-Men: Thunderbird one shot, the start of the Hulk vs. Thor: Banner of War event, Devil’s Reign: Omega and Legion of X. Legion makes up for its delay by double shipping its first two issues this month.
New Series: Miguel O’Hara, the Spider-Man of 2099, kicks off a new series set in Marvel’s popular alt-future timeline with three scheduled books. Captain America: Symbol of Truth, one of two new Captain America titles—this one focusing on Sam Wilson, begins. Conan the Barbarian returns to the main timeline to form a new team of Savage Avengers, including Cloak and Dagger, Elektra Natchios and Weapon H. The fan-favorite Fantastic Four replacements—Wolverine, Spider-Man, Hulk and Ghost Rider—get their own title. Moon Knight becomes the latest in a long line of characters to get his own Black, White & Blood line (alternatively, Elektra’s last Black, White & Blood title lands).
Appearance omissions: A few characters who are expected to make at least one appearance but not included in the below estimates include Carnage, members of the Eternals, Maestro, and members of X-Statix—though they do get a surprise guest appearance made by Doctor Strange in their latest title.
Appearance estimates, based on comic solicitations and cover artwork provided by the Marvel Database wiki, are meant as a guideline and not an indication of a specific draft order.
