ENTER THE PHONEIX, PAINT HER BLACK: King In Black fills the Marvel Universe with a murder of symbiotes and comic book series tie-ins this month. Knull remains the biggest wildcard pick with 15 books fleshing out the King in Black storyline, but no guarantee he will appear in any of those outside of the main event book. Big things are happening in other parts of the MU as well, as Avengers kicks off a Phoenix based storyline and Krakoa comes out of the swing of X of Swords and into the Reign of X.
TEAM-UPS: Kingpin and Green Goblin unite to take down the menace of Spider-Man and Kindred; a set of Valkyries (including Jane Foster and Dani Moonstar) take on the challenge of ferrying the Sentry to the Afterlife; Danielle Moonstar also teams up with Gambit and Susan Storm against the Shadow King; Silver Surfer apparently can’t go a month without visiting the Fantastic Four; Conan and Deadpool bring a bathing of red to the King In Black; Spectrum mixes it up with Rocket Raccoon, Peter Parker, and the Black Knight back in the past; and Tony Stark comes to the presence of MODOK but as friend or foe?

Carnage (Seanan McGuire, Flaviano Armentaro, Carlos Lopez), King In Black: Planet Of Symbiotes (Various), King In Black: Return Of The Valkyries (Jason Aaron, Torunn Gronbekk, Nina Vakueva), King In Black: Thunderbolts (Matthew Rosenberg, Juan Ferreyra), and Maestro: War And Pax (Peter David, Javier Pina).
