The Avengers ain’t afraid of no Ghost Riders. Robbie Reyes has had enough of his demonically possessed vehicle and he turns to his teammates for assistance. Black Panther calls in Daimon Hellstorm, a specialist in exorcism, to lend a hand, but Johnny Blaze, the original Ghost Rider and current King of Hell, intervenes and teleports Robbie to his domain. Avengers‘ 31 review points easily secures the Top Team Book of the Week and top overall in a week where the 13 released titles averaged 14 points.
The Daughters of Liberty convene once more in Captain America, the Top Solo Book of the Week with 20 points, and convince Steve Rogers to give his patriotic persona a break. However, the big twist in the issue belongs to the reveal of Dryad’s secret identity: Peggy Carter. With little competition in regards to events, Jonathan Hickman’s Powers of X stands alone takes top honors with a meager 12 points. Powers trades action for plot development and introduces some new characters in his trip through the time stream. The two main future characters, Rasputin and Cardinals, prove to be popular additions and are justly awarded Fantasy Comic League review points.
