The recent Uncanny X-Men continues to kill it with its large roster of mutants, but it also kills it when it comes to killing its characters. The latest characters to fall in the modern day mutant massacre include Mr. Sinister’s Nasty Boys and the X-Men’s precarious ally, Dark Beast. The top book of the week earns a review score of 60 points and features 21 different characters. The Guardians of the Galaxy, the second place Team book with 49 points and 18 characters, wraps up its first arc when the Guardians and the Dark Guardians put aside their differences to combat the recently resurrected Thanos. That book is not without its own deaths as Thanos destroys Starfox’s body to return to life.
The Daughters of Liberty act to free Steve Rogers from prison, as he leads a team of super villains from the inside. Captain America, the Solo title of the week, earns 46 points. Daredevil’s stint as the God Without Fear ends in War Scrolls, the Event book of the week. The 47-point anthology book also features Doctor Doom’s struggle to protect Latveria when the invasion reaches his front door. She-Hulk struggles with telling Freyja about her relationship with Thor in the third backup tale.
