The mutants continue to storm the Fantasy Comic League power rankings at the end of the year. Storm leads the charge for the X-Men and earns her fifth “Hero for the Week” title, which is the second most for any character on the year. Ororo gets a lift from her five-point appearance in Shuri and earns a total of 16 points. Not one to be frozen out of the action, Iceman follows the X-Goddess in second place and ties with the Immortal Hulk. They both score 12 points. Two leaders of proud nations, Black Panther and Jean Grey, split fourth place after their 11-point performances. More two-way ties follow to complete the penultimate power rankings of 2018.
Shuri has an out-of-this-world and out-of-body experience in her latest issue of her solo title. Wakanda’s genius princess is Groot when her mind merges with the cosmic tree, and she shares sixth place with Peter Parker, Spider-Man. They each total 10 points. Miles Morales, the other Spider-Man, caps his starring role in Spider-Geddon by leading the Web Warriors in defeating the Inheritors. He takes eighth place, along with Deadpool, with a score of nine. Armor continues representing the young class of X-Men when she sneaks into the top performances for the second time in three weeks. She earns eight points and ties with Cannonball to round out the top performances with one week left to go in the month.
Hero and power usages are a combination of all Fantasy Comic League divisions: Asgard, Asteroid M, Do You Even Comic Book, Genosha, Latveria, Midtown, Multiverse, Negative Zone, Red Room and Wakanda. League participants should cross-reference the official points with their hero roster and drafted powers for their heroes’ scores.
