The X-Ladies storm the Fantasy Comic League power rankings in the fourth week of August. After experiencing a bit of a dry spell and frustrating several Agents of the League, Ororo Munroe strikes back and scores her best week of the year. Her 16 points across four appearances marks her third “Hero of the Week” performance. Rogue, another captive in Mystery in Madripoor is freed in the final issue of the series. She knocks out Knockout to take her revenge, 15 points and second place. Both of the heroines also appear in Avengers: Wakanda Forever along third-place finisher, Black Panther. T’Challa earns 14 points and stands out as the top performing Avenger in another week where the mighty heroes dominate the power rankings.
The Avengers join forces, and minds, to score a combined 58 points in the finale of the first arc of their new series. They all notch a Team-Up, Character Development and Defeat Antagonist for their group effort in taking down the Final Host of Dark Celestials. Captain Marvel flies into fourth with an extra appearance in her second issue of Life of Captain Marvel. She ties with Kitty Pryde with 11 points. Iron Man claims sixth place by himself with a cameo appearance in Punisher setting him apart from a pair of his teammates. He scores 10 and Captain America and She-Hulk follow closely behind in a tie for seventh with nine points each. Daredevil has a single panel cameo in Punisher as well which helps him secure ninth place with eight points.
Two more main team Avengers, Thor and Doctor Strange, tie for the final spot in the top 10 along with Ms. America, the only member of the new West Coast Avengers team to be drafted in the month. Gambit sneaks into the top performances with seven points as well, making it a four-way tie with the Avengers.
Hero and power usages are a combination of all Fantasy Comic League divisions: Asgard, Danger Room, Do You Even Comic Book, Latveria, Midtown, Multiverse, Negative Zone and Wakanda. League participants should cross-reference the official points with their hero roster and drafted powers for their heroes’ scores.
