Help Support The Heroes We Love: This month, we’re highlighting the All-In Initiative at DC, which is the branding used to launch new main universe titles alongside the new Absolute Universe line of comics. Many of these Titles are not relaunching, but instead seeing new creative teams taking over. This week we’re looking at Action Comics, which sees Mark Waid and Clayton Henry taking over as the creative team with issue #1070. We here at the FCL think Waid can do no wrong at DC right now, so it’s exciting to see him tackle the Super-Family once again. And you can read the opening salvos at DC Universe Infinite, when you subscribe to the Ultra Annual Level (which runs the price of $170 CAD).
Weekly Omissions – Absolute Batman #1, Batman: Gotham By Gaslight – The Kryptonian Age #5, DC Vs. Vampires – World War V #3
Hero Of The Week – In a week of single Appearances, thankfully Bruce Wayne is unable to take Gold. Instead, we have a Two-Way Tie for both Performance and Hero Of The Week. Both Clark Kent and John Stewart brought in 13 Points, so let’s hear for Superman and Green Lantern.
Antagonist Of The Week – There was only two scoring Antagonists this week, both of them Lantern Antagonists. And it was the Orange King himself, Larfleeze, who took Antagonist Of The Week with a 6 Point Appearance.
Book Of The Week – After last week’s dual 200+ Point behemoths, I’m happy to give Book Of The Week to something smaller. Bruce and Clark alike lost to the combined of the Lantern Corps. Green Lantern: Civil Corps Special #1 brought in 60 Points over 9 Characters.
Power Of The Week – DC doesn’t get nearly as much Telepathic battles as Marvel does, but there was a dozy of one between Power Girl and Kara Danvers this week. So their joint Telepathy is taking Power Of The Week this time around.
Welcome To The League – No New Additions.
Key: TU – Team-Up; LT – Lead Team; SC – Save Civilian; CD – Character Development; DA – Defeat Antagonist.
