Book of the Week – West Coast Avengers #1 (Review score: 39 Points; 17 Characters). Iron Man and War Machine head to Los Angeles with an offer of redemption. They recruit Spider-Woman to help keep everyone in line. The premiere issue sweeps the three major categories for the week.
Hero of the Week – Iron Man (Review score: 13 Points/2 Appearances; 6.5 Pts/App). Tony scores his fourth Hero of the Week with two Appearances. While he’s all about giving antagonists a second chance in West Coast Avengers, he’s also busy engaging in corporate espionage in his own title by blowing up pipelines.
Antagonist of the Week – Ultron (Review score: 9 Points/1 Appearance; 9.0 Pts/App). The longtime Avenger antagonist and genocidal robot joins the West Coast Avengers, but the reasons for his heroic turn have yet to be revealed. He earns a Save Civilian, Character Development, and Defeats Antagonist as he tops the weekly antagonist ranks, where he will stay until his motives become more clear.
New Characters. Blue Bolt, one of the first criminals paroled into the West Coast Avengers’ work-release program.
