Help Support The Heroes We Love: This month, we’re highlighting DC’s Black Label initiative, a more mature creator focused line of publications at DC. Black Label has drawn some of the biggest names in the industry back to DC. This week we’re focused on the 5 Issue Mini-Series, Zatanna: Bringing Down The House, written by Mariko Tamaki. It features some absolutely stunning art from Javier Rodriguez, one of Marvel’s best that DC pilfered for this series. The series is also an excellent template for what makes Zatanna work as a character and it’s a bit of a shame it’s an Elseworlds tale. And you can read the story, in its entirety, at DC Universe Infinite, when you subscribe to the Ultra Annual Level (which runs the price of $170 CAD).

Hero Of The Week – We close out September in perhaps the most stereotypical way, with Bruce Wayne taking Hero Of The Week with 28 Points over 3 Appearances. Thankfully, there is a little bit of Pumpkin spice in the mix, with Performance Of The Week going to Raven. Rachel brought in 17 Points in a single Appearance.
Antagonist Of The Week – It’s the penultimate week of Absolute Power and Amanda Waller tried hard this week, with 4 Appearances and 10 Points. However, in a single Appearance, Lobo blew her away with a 16 Point Appearance to take Antagonist Of The Week.
Book Of The Week – We gather here today to celebrate Titans #15, the finale of Tom Taylor’s Titans run, which scored Book Of The Week with 97 Points over 15 Characters. Pour another one out, I feel like a lot of behind the scenes pivots affected this book which was meant to see the Titans become the predominant team of the DC Universe.
Power Of The Week – This week, we’re recognizing a shared collective Power that the West family used in The Flash #13. The Influence of their family saved the Speed Force, essentially birthing a newer version of it less poisoned by time and negativity.
