This week saw the publication of Plastic Man: No More #1, which pulls Christopher Cantwell (Iron Man) and Alex Lins (New Mutants) over from their stellar work at Marvel to create a dark tale centered around a depowered Plastic Man trying to save his son from a gruesome fate coming for them both. Hero Of The Week – There isn’t a whole lot of surprises on this, the 36th Week of 2024, but we at least kick off the Awards with a big one. Bruce Wayne seemingly had this Week in the bag, putting up 22 Points over 3 Appearances. But in a shocking turn of Events, Kyle Rayner scored both Hero and Performance Of The Week with a stellar 22 Point Appearance. Glad to see the best Lantern get his time in the spotlight again.
Antagonist Of The Week – Another week of Absolute Power, another week of Amanda Waller getting clowned on. This week’s Antagonist Of The Week was her main stooge, the Brainiac Queen of Metropolis, who scored 13 Points in a single Appearance.
Book Of The Week – And of course, it’s Event Week so Absolute Power #3 absolutely ran away with Book Of The Week, bringing in 155 Points over 41 Characters.
Power Of The Week – Look, sometimes, we love a good cheesecake moment in comics. And so to that end, we’re giving Power Of The Week to Big Barda’s use of Durability to make… an impact in Batman #152‘s backup.
