Hallow’s Eve cycles through her masks this Halloween in her one shot special. Nemesis’ mask comes off in Alpha Flight to reveal Heather Hudson in possession of Scell, the Promethium soulsword which bestows powers upon its wielder but at the cost of their life-force. Rek-Rap, Limbo’s resident Spider-Man super fan and admirer, makes his first official scoring Appearance after debuting at the beginning of the year.
Book the Week – Dark X-Men #3 (Review score: 40 Points; 18 Characters). The X-Men’s most twisted team take the top book title the week before Halloween. A few of the team members are trapped in their nightmares when they attempt to recruit the young mutant, Flourish. In reality, Gambit must take down Angel, his fallen former teammate.
Hero of the Week – Thor (Review score: 10 Points/1 Appearance; 10.0 Pts/App). Thor doesn’t let his Loki-imposed exile hold him back and gets his second Hero of the Week title. He ties with Spider-Man but Thor’s more dominant sole Appearance breaks the tie in his favor.
Antagonist of the Week – Goblin Queen (Review score: 7 Points/2 Appearances; 3.5 Pts/App). Madelyn Pryor’s stock has been on the rise in the Krakoan era. She has made amends with Jean Grey, assumed leadership over Limbo, provided a sanctuary for any mutants in need through Limbo Embassy, and created her own team of X-Men. She is currently sixth place for Antagonists and the latest one to break 50 points.
