Book of the Week – Venom War: Deadpool #3 (Review score: 59 Points; 8 Characters). Deadpool’s true motivation for crashing the monsters’ hideout beneath Manhattan is revealed. He turns Jimmy Hudson over to the Time Variance Authority. The monsters helping to save the city from a zombiote scourge just happened to be a happy coincidence.
Hero of the Week – Spider-Man/Peter Parker (Review score: 19 Points/3 Appearances; 6.33 Pts/App). Spider-Man takes down Cyntros, Cyttorak’s first challenger, and suffers his first of eight painful deaths. But on the plus side, he surpasses his previous year’s Hero of the Week total, with his 14th top performance.
Antagonist of the Week – Loki (Review score: 8 Points/1 Appearance; 8.0 Pts/App). Loki earns his first Antagonist of the Year and makes a deal with Old Man Dylan Brock in his quest through time in an attempt to defeat Meridius.
New Characters. Dracula and his lieutenants from the 2099 universe: Deathform, Gravehunter, Killpath, Night Forge; Libra makes his 36th Appearance—second of the year—as a patron of the Bar with No Name.
