Book of the Week – Marvel 85th Anniversary Special #1 (Review score: 31 Points; 8 Characters). An anthology story to celebrate Marvel’s 85th anniversary gives a little taste of the type of comics Marvel likes to publish. They include a classic Spider-Man tale; a retro story starring Excalibur; a What If? future for Ms. Marvel; a look at the video game-inspired world of the Contest of Champions; and an alt-universe Moon Knight.
Hero of the Week – Spider-Man/Peter Parker (Review score: 21 Points/2 Appearances; 10.5 Pts/App). Spider-Man takes down Tombstone with the help of Luke Cage and She-Hulk. He earns his tenth Hero of the Week and breaks 20 points for the sixth time this year.
Antagonist of the Week – Thanos (Review score: 7 Points/1 Appearance; 7.0 Pts/App). Thanos takes down one of the stone bearers in his quest to reclaim the cosmic artifacts, however Colleen Wing is readily available to take over for Worldmind. This marks the third Antagonist of the Week for the Mad Titan.
