Spinning out of the Venomverse, Kid Venom gets his own series and a spot in the FCL database. Beast’s Krakoan Duplicate, another new entry, looks to make amends for his creator’s mistakes and joins Cyclops’ Alaskan X-Men team. The rest of the team consists of some of Cyclops’ most loyal followers such as Magik, Juggernaut and Magneto, among others. Daredevil/Matt Murdock and Ms. Marvel both pass 100 and land at 103 points each.
Book of the Week – X-Men #1 (Review score: 62 Points; 11 Characters). The new X-Men team sets up shop in Cyclops’ backyard of Merle, Alaska. Other recruits to the team include Kid Omega, Psylocke, Temper, Xorn and Glob—as the team’s cook. The new X-title ends Heir to Apocalypse’s two issue streak of getting the top book title.
Hero of the Week – Wolverine/James Howlett (Review score: 15 Points/2 Appearances; 7.5 Pts/App). Wolverine puts his healing factor to the test and voluntarily gets vampirized in his Blood Hunt tie-in. This is the fourth Hero of the Week for Wolverine, giving him the second most for the year.
Antagonist of the Week – Terrax (Review score: 9 Points/1 Appearance; 9.0 Pts/App). Terrax fails in his latest attempt to one-up the Silver Surfer in the ongoing feud between the heralds of Galactus. However, he succeeds in winning his first Antagonist of the Week.
