To quote early 2000s rock band Motion City Soundtrack, “The Future Freaks Me Out.” More specifically, Marvel’s 2099 future freaks me out since there’s currently two versions of it running around. The original-now-destroyed timeline reappears with Symbiote Spider-Man 2099 series. The database adds Miguel O’Hara—who bonds with a symbiote—and Punisher—who dies. The other major Character Development includes a round of musical hosts for the Spirit of Vengeance in Ghost Rider: Final Vengeance including Danger, The Hood, Kraven, and Johnny Blaze.
Book the Week – Fall of the House of X #3 (Review score: 53 Points; 23 Characters). The mutants score some victories against Orchis. Juggernaut protects Krakoa and Apocalypse rallies the mutants of Arakko. Emma Frost, Shadowkat and Synch rescue Firestar from behind enemy lines and then the ladies extract their fatal revenge on Dr. Stasis.
Hero of the Week – Thor (Review score: 10 Points/2 Appearances; 5.0 Pts/App). Thor claims his first Hero of the Week and sits at 13th overall. His two Appearances are purely action-packed with eight power usages.
Antagonist of the Week – Carnage/Symbiote (Review score: 6 Points/1 Appearance; 6.0 Pts/App). The Carnage symbiote secures his second Antagonist of the Week in the latest bloody issue of its solo title.
