Blonde Phantom and Golden Girl, the newest additions to the Fantasy Comic League database, hail from the early days of Marvel comics and make an Appearance in the latest anthology comic celebrating Marvel’s storied stable of female heroes. Outside of that big comic, the biggest development from the week comes from Iron Man who reveals the Sentinel Buster suit he plans to employ against Feilong.
Book of the Week – Women of Marvel #1 (Review score: 151 Points; 53 Characters). The main story in this issue offers a “What If…?” scenario when a character named the Mitigator tries to remove the important women from key times in Marvel’s history. Invisible Woman rallies the troops and thwarts the sexist scheme. The final story offers a look ahead for some of our key female heroes via Madame Web’s visions.
Hero of the Week – Iron Man (Review score: 14 Points/2 Appearances; 7.0 Pts/App). Tony snags his first Hero of the Week title and the sole Character Development point for the week. Apart from his cameo Appearance in the Women of Marvel title, he also Teams Up with Emma Frost and Defeats Sentinel Zero in his own book.
Antagonist of the Week – Rabble (Review score: 10 Points/2 Appearances; 5.0 Pts/App). Rabble is having a great start to the year. The rookie antagonist currently leads the Antagonist category and earns her first Antagonist of the Week with a Defeats Antagonist in the Miles Morales: Spider-Man title.
