Fathers tie together some of the major moments from the week. The new Night Thrasher series starts with Silhouette and Midnight’s Fire losing their father, while the titular character shuts down the Taylor Foundation, his father’s legacy. Meanwhile, Tombstone shuts down his daughter’s dreams of being the next great crime lord of New York City. Separately, U.S. Agent and Shang-Chi join the new iteration of the Thunderbolts.
Book of the Week – Amazing Spider-Man #43 (Review score: 62 Points; 17 Characters). The Gang War descends on Central Park. Madame Masque’s faction faces off with Beetle’s Syndicate, but Tombstone benches his daughter and takes over her operation in an effort to keep her safe. Amazing Spider-Man takes home the victory for all major titles this week: Book, Hero and Antagonist.
Hero of the Week – Spider-Man/Peter Parker (Review score: 20 Points/4 Appearances; 5.0 Pts/App). The main Spider-Man finally takes over first place from his 2099 counterpart and snags his second Hero of the Week. He scores a Team-Up and Defeats Antagonist in half of his four Appearances.
Antagonist of the Week – Tombstone (Review score: 11 Points/2 Appearances; 5.5 Pts/App). Tombstone earns the Antagonist of the Week despite teaming up with the Heroes for the first month and a half of the year, which tarnishes his credibility around New York City.
