The start of the Ultimate Black Panther series adds five new characters—Black Panther; his Queen, Okoye; his sister, Shuri; his destiny, Storm; and his rival, Killmonger, who starts off in the Hero category in this universe. Synch and Talon account for the only big character moment this week, when Talon forces Synch to let her subconscious go so he can focus on the war at hand.
Book of the Week – X-Men #31 (Review score: 39 Points; 10 Characters). Spider-Man shows up in support of the X-Men, accounting for five Team-Up points and giving this book the top score for the week. Ms. Marvel’s Save Civilian accounts for the the only other non-power or appearance related point.
Hero of the Week – Captain America/Steve Rogers (Review score: 21 Points/2 Appearances; 10.5 Pts/App). Steve Rogers gets a magical upgrade in his solo title thanks to his Team-Up with Doctor Strange. He scores another Team-Up with his fellow Madripoor Knights—Wolverine and Black Widow—in a new retro title taking place after Chris Claremont’s Uncanny X-Men #268 from 1990. Cap also defeats two antagonists in his two appearances.
Antagonist of the Week – Rama Tut (Review score: 7 Points/1 Appearance; 7.0 Pts/App). The Kang variant known as Rama Tut thinks he finally outsmarts his nemesis Reed Richards, however Mr. Fantastic and the Invisible Woman cleverly deceive him. His consolation price is his first Antagonist of the Week title.
