The new Ultimate Spider-Man title kicks off and the titular characters get added to the database along with Rabble, Miles Morales new self-proclaimed archnemesis. Also newly included are Devil-Slayer and the LMD of Contessa Fontaine. The Gang War provides another test for Luke Cage as New York’s Mayor, but Power Man’s longtime partner Iron Fist provides him with a Cagebuster suit for one of the week’s major developments.
Book of the Week – Miles Morales: Spider-Man #15 (Review score: 46 Points; 11 Characters). Team-Ups abound as Spider-Man battles Hobgoblin and Rabble’s coalition. Hobgoblin enlists Man-Bull and Shocker, but Miles’ team includes his uncle (Prowler), his best friend (Ms. Marvel), his clone (Shift), his girlfriend (Starling), and one of his antagonists (Scorpion).
Hero of the Week – Spider-Man/Miles Morales (Review score: 23 Points/2 Appearances; 11.5 Pts/App). Miles ties with Captain Marvel but appears in half the number of titles, including the first of several “Giant Size” titles coming out from Marvel. He earns a Team-Up and Defeats Antagonist point for each appearance, while in the anniversary title, he develops the ability to focus his Spider-Sense in a new way.
Antagonist of the Week – Sabretooth (Review score: 9 Points/1 Appearances; 9.0 Pts/App). Sabretooth denies Rabble an Antagonist of the Week in her Fantasy Comic League debut. Not only does he outperform her on the Points/Appearance ratio, but his Defeats Antagonist point comes when he murders two of Wolverine’s closest allies.
