Thor brings together a group of former hammer-wielders—Beta Ray Bill, Loki, Storm and Valkyrie—to confront the threat of Toranos, the Utgard-Thor. Blade turns to an unlikely ally for assistance in his fight against the Adana. Doctor Octopus fully recalls the details of his time as the Superior Spider-Man. The evil Steve Rogers reveals his return as the new Captain Krakoa and gets added to the database, so does Miss Thing.
Book the Week – Uncanny Avengers #14 (Review score: 49 Points; 12 Characters). The Avengers infiltrate Stevil’s base and end his misled Mutant Liberation Front. Captain Krakoa’s identity isn’t the only thing revealed as they learn that his stolen nuke is intended to detonate at Empire State University during a speech by Doctor Stasis.
Hero of the Week – Deadpool (Review score: 17 Points/2 Appearances; 8.5 Pts/App). Deadpool ties with his bestie and earns his second Hero of the Week title for scoring 17 points in fewer appearances than Spider-Man. Fifteen of this 17 points come from his special one shot Deadpool: Seven Slaughters.
Antagonist of the Week – Captain Krakoa (Review score: 11 Points/1 Appearance; 11.0 Pts/App). Hydra-Cap’s reveal as Captain Krakoa marks his debut performance since the expansion of the Fantasy Comic League in 2019. He proves he hasn’t lost a step with the shield during his absence as he gets a Precision and Projectile ability to go along with the Shield use and bisects Deadpool.
