Matt Murdock returns in a new series by Saladin Ahmed and Aaron Kuder. Al Ewing follows up his Wasp anniversary miniseries with a new job for Janet Van Dyne—superhero private investigator—in Avengers, Inc. New characters inducted into the database include Virus, Hightail, Kobak, and Jon Ironfire.
Book the Week – Children of the Vault #2 (Review score: 64 Points; 15 Characters). The Children of the Vault continue to spread their message across the globe as they fill in for the missing mutants. They save civilians and defeat zombie Avengers, rogue Shi’ar Superguardians, and heavy-hitting villains such as Shuma-Gorath, Blastaar and Terrax. The humans are beginning to accept their new super powered saviors.
Hero of the Week – Venom/Eddie Brock (Review score: 17 Points/2 Appearances; 18.5 Pts/App). Dyaln Brock may have defeated Deadpool to become Agatha’s latest Chaos Champion, but his father outperforms him on the week and earns a fourth Hero of the Week. This ties Eddie with Iron Man for second most titles.
Antagonist of the Week – Doctor Doom (Review score: 10 Points/1 Appearance; 10.0 Pts/App). In an odd tie, Doctor Doom takes the prize over Cletus Kasady because his 10-point performance includes a Defeats Antagonist where the mass-murderer’s total does not. Doom stays five-points ahead of Carnage for top position in the Antagonist rankings.
