Book the Week – X-Men: Before the Fall – Mutant’s First Strike #1 (Review score: 87 Points; 28 Characters). It’s all mutant hands on deck responding to an Orchis false flag operation in New Hampshire. Bishop leads a group of mutants in feeding, healing and saving civilians in need. And though they may have convinced the townspeople of Krakoa’s innocence, the rest of the world remains wary of Krakoa’s involvement in the explosion.
Hero of the Week – War Machine (Review score: 13 Points/1 Appearance; 13.0 Pts/App). Lieutenant James Rhodes’ loyalty to Tony Stark lands him in hot water with Feilong and Orchis. War Machine infiltrates a Stark Unlimited Factory, as Iron Man, but fails to get away. Arrested and framed for the murder of one of the factory workers, Rhodes’ first-ever Hero of the Week award is a small consolation prize.
Antagonist of the Week – Carnage/Cletus Kasady (Review score: 9 Points/1 Appearance; 9.0 Pts/App). Carnage’s second Antagonist of the Week in as many weeks gives him the most titles in the Antagonist division. He currently sits in second place for total score behind Norman Osborn by 18 points.
